27-year-old Flint mother, Latonya Shante Thomas, is charged with felony murder in the death of her 3-year-old son, Zaveion Thomas. Deputies responded to a 911 call on April 25 and found Thomas trying to perform CPR on her son, who was pronounced dead at the hospital. An autopsy revealed injuries consistent with an assault, leading detectives to determine that Thomas caused the injuries resulting in her son's death.
