San Francisco's Visitacion Valley park, where a grandmother was brutally beaten in 2019, will be renamed Yik Oi Huang Peace and Friendship Park in her honor. The renaming will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 15, featuring cultural healing festivities such as Chinese lion dancing and West African drumming. Yik Oi Huang, 88 at the time of her attack, died in January 2020 from her injuries.
