Union Health Minister JP Nadda chaired a high-level meeting to discuss achieving targeted health goals in the first 100 days of the new Indian government. During the meeting, Nadda emphasized enhancing the quality of healthcare facilities and systems, expanding health coverage under Ayushman Bharat, and using technology for immunization and health emergency response management. Concerns over the rising incidence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) were also addressed, with a focus on promoting healthy diets and lifestyles, and targeted campaigns for tobacco control among youth.
