PM Shehbaz Sharif removes Finance Minister Aurangzeb from chairmanship of Ecnec, taking over as head of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council. This is the first time in decades that a finance minister will not chair Ecnec, which is responsible for economic decision-making. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is included as a member of Ecnec.
