Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt issued an executive order banning wasteful public relations spending, prohibiting state agencies from entering into sole source contracts with public relations, marketing, or communications firms and vendors, and requiring all contracts with PR vendors to be obtained through at least a 30-day request for proposal. This move follows criticism of State Superintendent Ryan Walters' use of state dollars for an outside firm to promote himself and his administration.
