Karnataka has announced an increase in petrol and diesel prices following a revision in the state's sales tax on petroleum products. The price of petrol has risen by Rs 3, bringing the cost to Rs 102.84 per litre in Bengaluru, while diesel has also increased by Rs 3.02, raising the cost to Rs 88.95 per litre. The state government has hiked sales tax on petrol from 25.92% to 29.84% and on diesel from 14.3% to 18.44%.
