Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced a new tourism policy aimed at attracting investments, benefitting both the state and industrialists. The policy targets development of Karnataka's 300-km coastline, building a skydeck in Bengaluru, and transforming Brindavan Gardens into a Disneyland-like attraction. Concerns over the 18% GST's impact on the tourism industry were also expressed.
