One-third of seniors reported no income in the past year, while 32% had an annual income of less than Rs 50,000. Only 29% of elderly individuals had access to social security schemes, and 52% faced daily living challenges. 54% of seniors suffered from non-communicable diseases, and only 31% had health insurance. Elder abuse remains a significant issue, with 7% of respondents admitting to being victims, primarily due to sons and daughters-in-law.
