Construction crews have completed the installation of the final edge girders on the Gordie Howe International Bridge, spanning the Detroit River and linking Windsor, Canada, and Detroit, US. The $6.4 billion project, which is set to become North America's longest cable-stayed bridge, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. Once completed, it will be treated as an international crossing by the Canada Border Services Agency and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
