Dead mountain lion found on 101 Freeway near wildlife crossing site in Agoura Hills.
A dead mountain lion was discovered on the 101 Freeway near Agoura Hills, close to the site of the wildlife crossing currently under construction. The animal was found in the far right lane of the southbound freeway near Liberty Canyon Road. The $90 million crossing is expected to connect mountain lions in the Santa Monica Mountains with other populations to the north when completed in late 2025 or early 2026.
