Crown Estate takes over derelict Dalton Mills in Keighley due to previous owner's bankruptcy and restoration project collapse, building is ownerless in legal process called 'escheat'.

Dalton Mills, a derelict Grade II*-listed mill in Keighley, has been taken over by the Crown Estate due to the previous owner going bankrupt and a restoration project collapsing. The mill has faced several fires since its destruction in 2022, with two teenagers charged with arson. The building is currently ownerless due to a legal process called 'escheat'. Bradford Council and Historic England are working on installing additional security measures to prevent further trespass and arson incidents.
