Citroen begins production of its new Basalt coupe SUV in India, based on the same platform as the C3 and C3 Aircross. Featuring a distinctive receding roofline and 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, the Basalt is expected to debut within a couple of months with better creature comforts than the C3 Aircross. The SUV will be positioned to compete with rivals in the midsize SUV segment in India.
