57-year-old radical preacher Anjem Choudary on trial at Woolwich Crown Court, accused of directing banned terrorist organization Al-Muhajiroun.
Radical preacher Anjem Choudary, 57, is on trial at Woolwich Crown Court, accused of directing banned terrorist organisation Al-Muhajiroun (ALM). The prosecution claims Choudary held a "caretaker role" in the organisation after its spiritual leader was jailed in Lebanon in 2014, and that he continued to support radical Islamists after his release from prison in 2018. Both Choudary and co-defendant Khaled Hussein, 29, deny the charges.
