UK public inflation expectations for the coming year dropped to 2.8% in May from 3.0% in February.

The Bank of England's latest Inflation Attitudes Survey shows UK public inflation expectations for the coming year dropped to 2.8% in May from 3.0% in February. Short-term inflation expectations softened, with one-year ahead inflation expectations falling to 2.6% from 2.8% in February. The survey also revealed that 42% of UK public think the best for the economy if rates go down, the highest share since November 2008.
