Saudi Arabia and French private equity giant Ardian have acquired a combined 37.6% stake in Heathrow Airport for £3.26bn in a deal that will see the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Ardian buy 22.6% and 15% respectively of FGP Topco, Heathrow's parent company.
