2024 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race opens entries, introduces changes for crew diversity.
The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) has opened entries for the 79th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race in 2024, with a start date of 26 December. The historic 628-nautical mile race introduces significant changes to promote crew diversity, such as allowing an additional crew member if a boat has at least two females or two youths under 23 years old on board. The 2023 edition had 103 starters and 85 finishers.
