Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) increased electricity rates by 10-15 paise per unit for domestic and industrial consumers effective June 16, 2024. The rates are expected to remain in effect until March 31, 2025. Domestic consumers using up to 300 units per month will not be affected by the increase, but those consuming over 300 units will bear the burden.
