Opioid overdoses for pregnant patients reach an all-time high in the US. A new study from Washington University School of Medicine shows that patients with opioid use disorders and ADHD who continue taking ADHD medications during pregnancy are more likely to adhere to opioid treatment and less likely to overdose. This research may lead to developing treatment guidelines for managing both disorders together.
