Nova Scotia and Newfoundland & Labrador urge Senate committee to quickly pass federal legislation to help establish a wind industry off Canada's East Coast. The proposed amendments would enable offshore wind farm development by allowing government regulation and expanding each province's offshore petroleum board mandates to include renewable energy. Nova Scotia aims to issue its first project bids in 2025.
