Nigeria's NNPC withdraws legal challenge to ExxonMobil's $1.3bn asset sale to Seplat Energy.
Nigeria's state oil company, NNPC, has withdrawn its legal challenge to ExxonMobil's $1.3bn sale of oil and gas assets to Seplat Energy, removing a barrier that stalled the deal. The NNPC applied to a high court in Abuja to drop the case, following an agreement with Exxon to conclude the deal based on undisclosed terms. The sale still needs approval from the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission and Nigerian President Bola Tinubu.
