Man linked to AFL family charged with two counts of rape, three counts of perverting justice in Melbourne.

A man from a family linked to the AFL has been charged with two counts of rape and three counts of perverting the course of justice. The man, whose identity is protected by a suppression order, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Friday and is accused of raping a woman in Melbourne's east in mid-January. Magistrate Brett Sonnet described the charges as "very serious."
