Karnataka's Forest Department agrees to provide 500 acres for the Yettinahole drinking water project, to address drought-prone areas' water shortage.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar announced that the state's Forest Department has agreed to provide 500 acres of land for the Yettinahole drinking water project, which aims to address the acute water shortage in drought-prone areas. The project has faced land obstacles, but following a meeting with Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre, and officials, these issues have been resolved. The Yettinahole project will pump water from Nethravathi river on a trial basis next month.
