The Kansas City Chiefs signed Montana's Alex Gubner, a former FCS All-American and Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year, to their 90-man roster after a minicamp tryout. Gubner's addition is seen as a possible boost to the team's defensive line. To make room for Gubner, the Chiefs released punter Ryan Rehkow, reducing available cap space to an estimated $13.0 million.
