Extra moisture on the West Coast has helped climate-sensitive Joshua trees recover, according to experts. The iconic trees may be showing signs of recovery after heavy rainfall, with seedlings observed sprouting over the past two years. Researchers previously warned that up to 80% of the Joshua Tree population could be lost by 2070; however, the recent moisture may provide a temporary reprieve.
