India reduces windfall tax on petroleum crude to 3,250 INR ($38.90) per metric ton from 5,200 INR, effective June 15. The tax on diesel and aviation turbine fuel remains unchanged at zero. The move follows previous tax cuts on petroleum crude and aims to regulate private refiners who wanted to sell fuel overseas rather than domestically.
