A gas station fire in Asufufu, near Sunyani in the Bono Region destroyed a storey building with 10 bedrooms and three vehicles, including a gas tanker. The fire started when a taxi caught fire during refuelling. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) managed to control the fire after a three-hour effort. The Bono Regional Commander of the GNFS believes the tanker was discharging its content while the attendant was refuelling the taxi.
