China has launched a new high-speed railway loop in the Yangtze River Delta region, connecting major cities like Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Nanjing. The 1,200-kilometer loop aims to boost economic development in the region, which accounted for almost a quarter of China's GDP in 2023, and contribute to the growth of cities in the area, aiming for 5%-6% growth in 2024. The new line serves 19 stops and takes approximately 8 hours.
