A Calgary judge has ordered two dogs to be euthanized for their role in the fatal attack on an 86-year-old woman in 2022. The dogs, American Staffordshire terriers, escaped a fenced backyard and attacked Betty Ann Williams while she was gardening in a back alley, resulting in her death. The city of Calgary sought to have the remaining two dogs euthanized as well, as the judge ruled they are a high risk and danger to the public.
