Ajit Doval reappointed as India's NSA for a third term, co-terminus with PM Modi's term.

Ajit Doval, a former IPS officer, has been reappointed as India's National Security Adviser (NSA) for a third term, with his appointment co-terminus with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's term. Doval, who previously served as NSA from May 2014 to May 2019 and again from May 2019, will continue in his current role in the Narendra Modi-led NDA government. During his term, Doval will be assigned the rank of Cabinet Minister and will continue to advise the Prime Minister on matters of national security.
