32-year-old Nikolai Sugak was fatally stabbed in Vancouver's Chinatown on Feb 6, 2023. Jaal Routh Kueth is charged with second-degree murder. Defence lawyer Tony Lagemaat withdrew due to an "irreconcilable breakdown" in the lawyer-client relationship. New defence lawyer Glen Orris has taken over the case, and it's unclear if the original trial dates of Apr 28-May 16, 2025, will be maintained.
