Wicklow TD Jennifer Whitmore, a Social Democrat, is recovering in hospital after a "sudden medical emergency." Whitmore was admitted to the ICU earlier this week and is expected to remain in the hospital for a few more days before undergoing a recovery period before returning to work. The mother-of-four's husband, Tony Duddy, provided an update on her condition and thanked the staff at St Vincent's hospital for their rapid actions and outstanding care.
