Web Summit, a global tech conference, will launch a new North American version in Vancouver, BC next May, replacing its Collision event in Toronto. The Vancouver event, organized by the same team behind Collision, is projected to generate $172M in direct spending and $279M in overall economic impact for British Columbia over three years. Web Summit has previously hosted events in Portugal, Brazil, Qatar, and Asia.
