University Hospital Limerick apologizes in court for medical misadventure leading to Michael Daly Snr's death in 2010.
University Hospital Limerick (UHL) has apologized unreservedly in the High Court to the family of Michael Daly Snr after a 14-year legal battle. Mr. Daly Snr, a father of six, died in 2010 following a bowel operation in 2007. His family's action over his death was settled in court, and 16 family members attended the hearing. UHL's apology comes after a second inquest found that Mr. Daly Snr had died due to medical misadventure, not natural causes as previously recorded.
