Study suggests new rail link from Aberdeen to Peterhead/Fraserburgh could boost economy, reduce fatal road accidents.

A new rail link from Aberdeen to Peterhead and Fraserburgh could deliver an economic boom and reduce fatal road accidents, according to the Buchan Sustainable Transport Study. The proposed rail line would also support new jobs, help address economic inequality in deprived communities, and support Scotland's goal to prevent fatal crashes by 2050. The study was commissioned by the Campaign for North East Rail and the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.
