Philadelphia's Overdose Prevention and Community Healing Fund granted $3.1m to 43 local nonprofits, focusing on high-impact areas like North Philadelphia and Kensington. The fund, supported by opioid settlements, aims to help those affected by the opioid crisis by providing recovery programs, grief counseling, and wound care. It is part of a $200m, 18-year payout from a $26bn nationwide settlement negotiated in 2022.
