Filming for the second season of Karen Pirie, an ITV crime series based on Val McDermid's novels, has begun. Lauren Lyle returns as the Scottish investigator, with new episodes focusing on a 1984 kidnapping case involving heiress Catriona Grant and her baby son. The series, produced by World Productions, will air on ITV1 and stream on ITVX, following a successful first season with 6.6 million viewers.
