Indian authorities raised the issue of Mahatma Gandhi's vandalised statue in Italy with Italian authorities, confirming a suitable rectification has been made. This is not the first time Gandhi's statues have been vandalised in foreign countries. The incident occurred just before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Italy for the G7 Summit, where India has been invited as an Outreach Country.
