Lake Fayetteville's main parking lot will be closed on June 13-14 for micro-surfacing maintenance, a preventative method for roads needing no full reconstruction. The parking lot will close in the morning and reopen in the afternoon, not affecting the June 13 softball game. Micro-surfacing, involving a mixture of asphalt, aggregate, water, and chemical additives, extends asphalt life by up to 10 years.
