Ireland's annual inflation rate remained at 2.6% in May, as per Central Statistics Office (CSO). Transport had the highest inflation at 6.7% due to rising diesel and petrol prices, while the restaurant and hotel sector saw a 4.7% increase. Clothing and footwear, and furnishings, household equipment, and routine household maintenance experienced price declines of 6.3% and 1.4% respectively, marking the seventh consecutive month with inflation below 5%.
