High school biology teacher Colin Prater finds himself on one of golf's biggest stages at the U.S. Open, feeling a bit like Kevin Costner's character in "Tin Cup". Prater, a relative unknown, qualified for the U.S. Open by finishing second in a 36-hole qualifier in Bend, Oregon. As a full-time teacher and golf coach at Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, this is Prater's first time at the U.S. Open, and he's considered one of the top amateur players in Colorado.
