Google partners with NV Energy, a Berkshire Hathaway electric utility, to power its Nevada data centers with advanced geothermal electricity. The deal, pending approval, would increase Google's carbon-free geothermal electricity to 115 MW from 3.5 MW in about six years, supporting its goal of running entirely on clean energy by 2030. Google has announced plans to spend at least $4 billion on clean power this year.
