Former teacher Chris Dawson has lost his appeal against his conviction for murdering his wife Lynette Simms in 1982. The New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal dismissed the appeal, with the court finding that the circumstantial case against Dawson was "compelling" and that there was "no reasonable doubt" of his guilt. Dawson is serving a maximum 24-year prison sentence for the murder.
