4-foot ball python escapes from Groton police cruiser, retrieved by wildlife control.
Groton police found a 4-foot ball python in a cruiser on Tuesday, after initially receiving a call about a snake on a resident's porch. The police placed the snake in a box before putting it in the back seat of the cruiser, but it escaped and was later retrieved by "Critter Cop" wildlife control. The Groton Police Department made light of the situation, joking that citizens could "bond the snake out of critter jail" by contacting the department.
