Douglas County's fire season officially starts on June 14th at 12:01 a.m., affecting all private, county, state, and Bureau of Indian Affairs lands within the Douglas District and Roseburg District BLM. Fire restrictions will be in place, including prohibitions on smoking, backyard debris burning, and open fires, to help prevent wildfires. Public use restrictions will also be assessed and announced later for Umpqua National Forest.
