Berlin-based Ferrous Systems has joined the Rust Foundation's Safety-Critical Rust Consortium, which focuses on supporting the responsible use of Rust in safety-critical software. The consortium's aim is to ensure that systems whose failure can impact human life or cause severe environmental or property damage are developed with Rust. Ferrous Systems created Ferrocene, the first open-source qualified Rust compiler toolchain for safety- and mission-critical systems, released in 2023.
