Amazon and Vrio, the US firm managing Latin America's DirecTV and Sky Brasil, plan to launch a joint satellite internet service in seven South American countries, competing with Elon Musk's Starlink. The service will be available to customers in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. Amazon's Project Kuiper will provide internet using satellites in low Earth orbit.
