The African Development Bank (AfDB) granted $8.6m to South Sudan for NORMA II, a project designed to enhance National Revenue Authority's capacity to boost non-oil revenue mobilization and accountability. The funding includes $6.62m from the African Development Fund and $1.98m from its Transition Support Facility. The project aims to improve public finance management, budget framework, spending efficiency, financial controls, reporting, and accountability by developing IT systems, expanding tax policies, and providing technical assistance and equipment for capacity building.
