19-year-old Shawn A. Smith from Jemison died, and a 16-year-old was injured in an ATV crash in Chilton County, Alabama on June 10. The accident occurred when Smith's 2019 Honda Pioneer ATV left the road, hit an embankment, and overturned. Smith was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 16-year-old, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The crash is under investigation by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division.
