49-year-old rideshare driver Amare Biftu was killed in a head-on collision, possibly caused by an intoxicated, unlicensed driver.
49-year-old Amare Biftu, a Lincoln rideshare driver, was killed in a head-on collision on South 84th Street near Old Cheney Road. Biftu's vehicle was hit with such force that his engine block was launched into another car. The crash also injured three others. Police suspect the driver of the southbound car was under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and did not have a driver's license.
