27-year-old Nicholas Jack George from Wayne Township was arrested for allegedly stabbing his family dog, Bowie, to death. George threatened his wife on June 9 that if he killed her dog, she would never find it. The following day, Bowie was found stabbed to death. George was arrested and booked into the Butler County Jail on charges of cruelty to a companion animal. Sheriff Richard Jones said, "Cruelty to animals will not be tolerated in Butler County."
